  he bicycle has two chains. The first one runs through the front chainring and the middle small chainring gear attached to a big gear of the same size as the front chainring. The second chain runs through the middle chainring, the cassette of sprocket wheels and rear derailleur. The rear derailleur is made so that when the bicycle is not moving the rear chain run through in the large sprocket wheel, rear derailleur and the middle chainring. Between the front chainring and the middle small chainring, is another gear (smaller in size as compared to the small chainring gear). This gear is attached to a pump which pumps hydraulic fluid, from a tank, to a chamber herein called the speed regulator. The speed regulator is a cylinder closed at both ends, with a small hole at the centre of one end. Two pipes are fixed at both ends, which are perpendicular to cylindrical speed regulator. These pipes take hydraulic fluid in and out of the chamber .Inside there is a round rubber, moving flexibly inside with no air spaces in-between the cylinder-rubber interface. Unlike conventional mountain bikes, in which the cyclist has to change gears by using the gear selector, the string from the derailleur is connected to the movable rubber in the speed regulator. This rubber is fixed in such a way that it does not reach the cylindrical end which has a pipe supplying the chamber with hydraulic fluid.
  HOW IT WORKS
  The purpose of having the middle chainring gears is to double the speed. Since the front chain only runs through one chainring instead of chainrings as in conventional mountain bikes. The purpose of including the pump system is to make gear changing automatic. As the bicycle is being cycled, the pump pumps hydraulic fluid in the speed regulator. When the fluid pressure in the chamber increases the rubber will be pushed forward. Since the rubber is attached to the string connected to the rear derailleur, the derailleur will change position hence changing the gear. The changing of gears, from the big sprocket wheel to the small, continues as long as the cycling continues. As the gears change in the above sequence the speed also increases. As cycling continues the gears change from the large to the small sprocket wheel, when this happens the rubber is at the other end of the chamber such that the fluid starts flowing out to back to the tank. This makes it possible for the cyclist to continue peddling at top speed. When the cycling stops, the pressure in the chamber reduces, this forces the spring on the derailleur to change it from the current position the one convenient one, according to the pressure in the chamber. Flow of fluid back to the tank is only possible if the pump is not working. When the cycling resumes the chain will start running through the convenient sprocket. The gear up shifting resumes as the pressure in the speed regulator increases due to cycling.
  Back peddling is not advisable. Slowing down is achieved by applying brakes. Reducing the speed can be done by stopping peddling and applying the brakes.
